Yeast Free Gluten Free Wheat Free Rye Bread – No Such Thing


Yeast intolerance requires a person to refrain from eating foods with yeast. Eating foods that encourage yeast is also prohibited. In this sense, the yeast intolerant should be watchful especially when it comes to eating breads.

Breads are usually made with yeast and usually uses wheat based flours that also have gluten in them. Now if you’re asking, “Can I eat yeast free gluten free wheat free rye bread instead?” well the answer is - No. There could be no such thing as rye breads that are wheat and gluten free. They could be yeast free but not wheat and gluten free. Here’s why: Rye naturally is a wheat source that also has gluten in it. It’s impossible to remove its wheat and gluten content.

Instead of eating rye bread, you can go for other breads that are made with whole-wheat (wheat-less) flours. Stay away from breads made from barley, wheat, and rye. They are all high in wheat and gluten. If you’re yeast intolerant, you should stay away from anything that has wheat because it’s high in carbohydrates (and sugars) hence bad for Candida.
