Is yeast gluten free? –No. Don’t be confused between
yeast free and gluten free. When a recipe says it’s yeast free, it doesn’t
always mean it’s gluten free; and when something says it’s gluten free, it’s
not always yeast free.
People with Candidiasis do benefit from both yeast
free and wheat and gluten free diet. If your yeast intolerant, you should both avoid foods that have yeast, and
foods that promote yeast, especially high-carbohydrate wheat and gluten based
foods. If you have Coeliac disease
though, you are only required to stay away from wheat and gluten, but not
necessarily from yeast.
Remember
that Candidiasis is different from Coeliac disease. Having Candidiasis doesn’t
mean you also have Coeliac, although it’s beneficial to go on a gluten free
wheat free diet as well for those intolerant to yeast. Those who have Coeliac
though can go without a yeast free diet.
It’s much
difficult to have yeast intolerance because
you have to make sure that the food you’re eating is both yeast free and wheat and gluten free.
